Joe Weinman is considered the leading authority on cloud economics and cloud-enabled business strategy. He is the author of Cloudonomics: The Business Value of Cloud Computing (Wiley, 2012), now available in two Chinese editions, and Digital Disciplines: Attaining Market Leadership via the Cloud, Big Data, Social, Mobile, and the Internet of Things (Wiley CIO, 2015), is a contributor to Regulating the Cloud (MIT Press, 2015), and is the Cloud Economics editor for IEEE Cloud Computing magazine. He has served in a variety of executive leadership positions in functions such as R&D, corporate strategy, sales, and operations and engineering at Bell Labs, AT&T, and HP, and was most recently a senior VP at Telx. He has been awarded 22 patents. He has a BS and MS in Computer Science from Cornell University and UW-Madison, and has completed executive education at IMD Lausanne.
